The WEISU was an early external viewfinder, as cameras such as the Leica I, Leica II, and Leica IIIf only had a viewfinder appropriate for a 50mm lens, a WEISU was required for framing images when using a 35mm lens such as an Elmar or a Nikkor 3.5 cm.
Pictured above is the later 35mm "brightline" viewfinder the SBLOO Compared to the WEISU the SBLOO is much larger, the clarity is greater and where you use the boarder of the image in the WEISU to frame, the SBLOO has brilliant brightlines, so you may see what is also outside of the framed image. Additionally the SBLOO includes basic parallax correction lines for close subjects
