Possibly the last film camera design to emanate from Leica camera, the MP represents a classic Leica. It doesn't contain cutting edge technology it contains only the essentials of artistic image making.

What the modern MP represents is a modern remake of a classic, the Leica MP or M3. The main update is the inclusion of a 1980s style centre weighted TTL light meter. The other updates are subtle but useful none the less, an improved crystal clear rangefinder/viewfinder to improve clarity, prevent flare and focus whiteout.

The modern MP works with many classic lens as images on the page will depict, all taken with a Summaron 35mm f2.8 LTM version, through the use of an LTM to M bayonet adaptor.
